AUSTIN, Texas – Austin police have apprehended a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting at an apartment complex in southeast Austin.
On Saturday, March 23, at approximately 9:39 p.m., authorities responded to reports of a shooting at 2207 Wickersham Lane. Upon arrival, officers discovered 44-year-old Christopher Rodriguez, who had sustained a gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save him, Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Identified and Apprehended
The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Adam Brown, was located and detained by officers at the scene. Following preliminary investigations, it was determined that Brown and Rodriguez had engaged in a dispute that culminated in the shooting.
Authorities have charged Brown with first-degree murder in connection with the incident.
