Mesquite police have made public the body camera and surveillance footage capturing a recent shooting involving officers at the Mesquite Pioneer Technology and Arts Academy. The incident unfolded on February 20th when law enforcement responded to reports of a student armed with a gun on campus.

According to reports, officers engaged in a negotiation with the student, who was inside an administrator’s office. Law enforcement discharged their firearms once more, resulting in the student sustaining a gunshot wound to the leg.
