Akron, Ohio — A 51-year-old man is in critical condition after a motorcycle accident in the Goodyear Heights neighborhood Tuesday night.

The man was driving a Yamaha motorcycle at a high speed on Brittain Road around 8:17 p.m. when the accident occurred. According to police reports, he attempted to pass other vehicles by going left of center. However, he collided with a Mazda traveling north on Brittain Road as it was turning left into a driveway.
Injuries and Treatment
The motorcyclist was rushed to Summa Health Akron City Hospital, while the 20-year-old male driver of the Mazda was also hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, a passenger in the Mazda escaped unharmed.
