A 20-year-old motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries in a collision with a city-owned light pole in Sorrento Valley, prompting an investigation by the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division.

The incident occurred around 7 a.m. in the 5800 block of Sorrento Valley Boulevard when the motorcyclist, traveling eastbound, failed to negotiate a curve, leading to loss of control and impact with the light pole.
Severe Injuries Reported
The young man, whose identity remains undisclosed, suffered critical injuries, including multiple brain bleeds, a collapsed lung, kidney damage, spinal injuries, and fractures to his arm and pelvis. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
