The New York Police Department (NYPD) is actively searching for a woman accused of assaulting a subway musician in an unprovoked attack. The incident occurred on Tuesday at the 34th Street-Herald Square station.

Reports indicate that a 29-year-old man, who was playing a cello on the mezzanine of the station, was targeted by the assailant. The woman allegedly struck the musician in the head with a metal bottle without any apparent reason or prior interaction.

Suspect Description and Escape

After the assault, the suspect quickly fled the scene. Witnesses last saw her heading towards Broadway, between West 34th Street and West 35th Street. The victim sustained a laceration to his head as a result of the attack.

According to descriptions provided by authorities, the suspect is approximately 5’3″ tall, with a slim build. At the time of the incident, she was reportedly wearing a distinctive ensemble, including a brown fur coat, black winter hat, burgundy scarf, and a multicolored bag across her body.
