Two brothers from Oakland, Jose Ramos-Erazo, 36, and Jonathan Ramos-Erazo, 33, have been charged with multiple felony counts of possession for sale of various illegal drugs, including fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine salt, and cocaine base. The charges stem from an incident in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District, where the brothers were apprehended by police on May 23, allegedly in possession of a significant quantity of narcotics.
Arrest and Charges
According to prosecutors, the brothers were arrested around 11 p.m. on May 23 as they were leaving a parking lot at 750 Bush St. Police reportedly found them in possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine base, heroin, and a sum of cash. Following their arrest, a search of two residences linked to the brothers in Oakland led to the discovery of approximately 18 pounds of fentanyl and methamphetamine combined.
Jonathan Ramos-Erazo faces an additional charge of transportation, sale, and distribution of a controlled substance. Both brothers pleaded not guilty to all charges during their arraignment on Wednesday.
