Kansas City, Mo. – Authorities in Kansas City, Missouri, reported a fatal shooting early Saturday morning, identifying the victim as 27-year-old Zachary H. Trivitt.

At approximately 3 a.m., the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) responded to a disturbance involving a weapon near 12th Street and Benton Boulevard, a short distance north of Interstate 70. The situation escalated into a shooting shortly after officers arrived on the scene.
Victim Found Unresponsive
Upon reaching the location, officers spoke with an individual at a nearby business who disclosed that their acquaintance had been shot. Subsequently, law enforcement discovered an unresponsive man inside a vehicle, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
