City Leaders Break Ground for Samet Drive Extension

High Point, N.C. – The Palladium Shopping Center in High Point is set for a significant expansion, promising new opportunities for residents and workers alike. The journey towards realizing Palladium South has spanned approximately five years, with city officials persevering through various obstacles. It’s really exciting because we overcame a once-in-a-lifetime challenge in a tough market to be able to bring this project here, noted Holmes.

Spanning 36 acres, Palladium South aims to transform into a bustling hub of activity within High Point. Developer Dennis Bunker of Bunker Land Group, in collaboration with local developer David Couch, envisions a multifaceted space designed to cater to diverse needs and preferences.

Site plans unveiled by the developers outline ambitious proposals, including nearly 300 apartments, an array of dining and retail options, as well as amenities like a convenience store. Every vibrant community needs amenities and options, and this will provide that, affirmed Bunker.

Anticipated Impact on High Point

City leaders anticipate that Palladium South will enhance High Point’s appeal, drawing in residents and visitors seeking cultural experiences and family-oriented activities. Folks are looking for culture, emphasized Holmes. They’re looking for opportunities for things that they can provide their families.

The extension of Samet Drive, a pivotal component of the project, is projected to reach completion within a year. Developers aim to coincide the opening of some initial tenants with the conclusion of the roadway extension, further catalyzing the area’s transformation.
