AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Police Department (APD) has issued a plea for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a recent robbery at a Dollar General store in East Austin. The incident occurred at the Dollar General branch situated at 5000 Springdale Road, unfolding on February 7 at approximately 1:27 p.m.
Suspect Description
The individual sought by authorities is described as a black male aged between 30 to 40 years, standing at 6 feet or taller, with a thin build, short buzzed black hair, and sporting a black mustache/goatee. The suspect was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark sweatpants, and white/black tennis shoes.
Seeking Assistance
According to reports, the suspect allegedly assaulted an employee who attempted to intervene during the shoplifting incident. APD urges anyone with information relevant to the case to come forward.
