Joseph Hardy was shot and killed around 4:30 p.m. on December 7 while standing at the intersection of Rogers Street and Simsbury Street in Houston. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The suspect fled the scene in a silver or gray hatchback, though the make and model remain unknown.
