Kansas City, Mo. — In the early hours of Sunday morning, a shooting near the Westport Entertainment District in Kansas City, Missouri, resulted in one fatality and six injuries, as reported by the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD).

At approximately 1:20 a.m., multiple reports of gunshots were received by the KCPD, originating east of the intersection of Westport Road and Broadway.
