FRESNO, Calif. — Authorities have apprehended four individuals following a shooting incident in southwest Fresno on Thursday evening. The Fresno Police Department swiftly responded to reports of gunfire near College and Franklin around 6:30 p.m.

Scene Investigation and Pursuit

Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered evidence indicating that a shooting had occurred in the area. Subsequently, during their investigation, the police received information regarding the suspects’ vehicle. Shortly thereafter, the same vehicle reappeared at the scene.

Officers initiated a traffic stop, but the driver chose to evade capture, prompting a pursuit. To aid in the search, the Fresno Police Department deployed a helicopter to track the fleeing vehicle.

Dramatic Conclusion

As the pursuit unfolded, the suspect attempted to exit Highway 180 onto Cedar Street but lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a crash into a ponding basin. One individual was found trapped beneath the vehicle and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

All occupants of the vehicle were identified as males aged between 20 and 30 years old. They have since been taken into custody by law enforcement authorities.
