Dating back to the 18th century, Maifest originated as a celebration marking the end of winter and the arrival of spring, echoing the festive spirit of Oktoberfest.

This year’s Maifest will feature top German-style bands, including the all-woman ensemble Ladyhosen, renowned for their traditional polka tunes and the captivating yodeling prowess of lead singer Kathrin Jacob. Additionally, festival-goers can groove to the sounds of Die Sauerkrauts, a lederhosen-clad musical group offering a fusion of traditional German melodies with contemporary pop, rock, and funk.
