San Antonio authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect believed to be connected to a murder that occurred during a botched robbery on the Northeast Side.

Incident Details

The victim, 27-year-old Cesar Estevan Garcia, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident linked to a robbery attempt. The fatal incident unfolded around 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 29 outside a warehouse situated off Northeast Loop 410 East near Wehman Drive.

Police discovered Garcia’s body near the entrance of his workplace, surrounded by numerous shell casings and Glock switches packaged in small plastic bags. Surveillance footage revealed the harrowing execution-style killing, depicting the victim being held at gunpoint before succumbing to gunshot wounds inflicted by two assailants.

Arrest Made and Ongoing Investigation

Kiavon Dotson, 21, has already been apprehended and charged with capital murder in connection to Garcia’s death. Following the investigation, detectives uncovered social media exchanges between Dotson and the victim, where Garcia purportedly invited Dotson to the location and shared the workplace address. Dotson allegedly confessed to authorities that the initial intent was to rob Garcia of gun components, but the situation escalated when Garcia resisted.

However, authorities are still in pursuit of Ju Von Williams Philips, 20, and another individual believed to be involved in the fatal shooting.
