IMPD was engaged in a SWAT situation in Indianapolis’ near west side, lasting more than six hours.

At approximately 7 a.m., IMPD officers responded to a disturbance report in the 1100 block of N. Belmont Avenue. Upon arrival, they encountered both a female and a male inside the house. While the female exited the house, the male remained barricaded inside, believed to be armed.
