San Antonio witnessed a tragic incident resulting in the death of a teenager allegedly shot by his longtime friend.

The victim, identified as 18-year-old Daniel Hernandez, was fatally shot just after 1 a.m. on Friday night. The shooting occurred on the 2000 block of 1604 and Spanish Grant. Hernandez has been arrested and is facing Murder charges in connection with the incident.
Weapon Used
Reports indicate that Hernandez used a Draco AK47, a firearm similar to an AK47, to shoot the victim multiple times. The circumstances leading to the altercation remain unclear.
Relationship Between Victim and Suspect
Authorities revealed that Hernandez and the victim were not only acquaintances but lifelong best friends, making the incident all the more tragic.
Response from Authorities
Upon arriving at the scene, authorities were able to obtain a dying declaration from the victim, identifying Hernandez as the assailant. The victim succumbed to his injuries despite efforts to save him.
