The Agriculture Department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) revealed that the dumplings, produced by CJ Foods Manufacturing Beaumont Corp. in California, may contain foreign materials, specifically hard plastic believed to be from a permanent marker pen. The recall follows consumer reports of discovering plastic in the Trader Joe’s-branded products.

Consumers are urged to check their freezers for the 6-ounce Trader Joe’s Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings produced on December 7, 2023. These dumplings can be identified by their side box labels bearing lot codes 03.07.25.C1-1 and 03.07.25.C1-2.
