Deadly Collision in Pomona
POMONA, Calif. – A tragic accident in Pomona claimed the lives of three women who were on their way home from a baby shower in Moreno Valley. The collision occurred late Saturday night at the intersection of White Avenue and Phillips Boulevard, involving two vehicles. Authorities reported that the driver of the other car, identified as 36-year-old Victor Siharath, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Emergency Response and Casualties
Officers from the Pomona Police Department responded to the scene just before 11 p.m. Both Pomona and Los Angeles County first responders provided immediate medical attention to the victims. Sadly, two women were pronounced dead at the scene, and three others, including one of the drivers, sustained moderate to severe injuries.
Victims Identified
Family members confirmed to TLNA11 that the victims were Lorena Morales, Ysenia Ochoa, and Alejandra Olaez. Additionally, Lorena Morales’ boyfriend, Juan Manuel Jaime Garcia, and another passenger were hospitalized following the crash. The group was returning home from a baby shower at the time of the accident.
Arrest Made
The driver of the other vehicle, Victor Siharath, was apprehended at the scene after investigators determined that he was driving under the influence. He was subsequently arrested for felony DUI.
