San Antonio’s Tom Slick Park was the scene of a tragic discovery confirmed by the Medical Examiner’s office on Friday. The bodies of Savannah Kriger, 32, and her 3-year-old son, Kaiden Kriger, were found with fatal gunshot wounds to the head.

The Medical Examiner ruled Kaiden Kriger’s death a homicide, while the manner of Savannah Kriger’s death is still pending investigation.
Details of the Incident
According to investigators, it is believed that Savannah Kriger shot her toddler before turning the gun on herself. Deputies discovered a firearm near the bodies at the scene.
An Amber Alert was issued for Kaiden on Tuesday following the discovery of concerning evidence at the Kriger family’s residence in west Bexar County. Savannah’s vehicle was later located parked at Tom Slick Park off Highway 151.
The bodies of the mother and child were found in a drainage ditch near the park by a Park Police officer on Tuesday.
