Three individuals were apprehended in Beach Park during an alleged home invasion incident that occurred on Friday morning. Melinda Uribe, 30, Robert M. Carr, 41, both residents of Mundelein, and Keith T. Daniels, 43, also from Mundelein, were taken into custody following the incident.

Events Unfold

At approximately 9 a.m. on Friday, Lake County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a manufactured home located in the 38700 block of North Sheridan Road in response to a distress call. The call was made by a person seeking assistance in retrieving belongings from the residence. The caller, later identified as Melinda Uribe, lacked a permanent address and occasionally stayed at the residence in question.

Upon arrival, deputies were informed that the resident of the home declined to open the door for Uribe to collect her belongings, prompting her distress. Despite deputies’ attempts to mediate the situation and advise Uribe to return with proper assistance from law enforcement, she left the area.

Approximately an hour later, a deputy who was completing paperwork in the vicinity observed Uribe returning to the residence in a vehicle. Uribe, accompanied by Robert M. Carr, swiftly exited the vehicle and allegedly forcibly entered the home. Keith T. Daniels was reported to have entered the residence shortly after Uribe and Carr.

Alleged Assault and Apprehension

Upon entering the home, Uribe and Carr purportedly attacked a 29-year-old man residing there. In response to the commotion, the sheriff’s deputy, along with other law enforcement officers, entered the residence and promptly detained Uribe, Carr, and Daniels. The victim, although assaulted, did not require medical attention at the time.

Legal Proceedings

Following their apprehension, all three suspects were transported to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. They are currently being held pending their initial court appearance scheduled for Saturday.
