St. JOHNS, Fla. — A truck driver fell victim to a robbery while parked near CR-204 and US-1 South, as reported by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
On Thursday, approximately at 10:15 p.m., the truck driver had pulled over to the side of the road adjacent to a vacant lot to take a break.
Details of the Incident
The assailant, armed with both a gun and a crowbar, forcibly entered the truck’s cabin while the driver was inside. During the confrontation, the perpetrator struck the victim in the head with the firearm, and proceeded to abscond with cash and the driver’s phone.
Description of the Suspect
The suspect was described as fully concealed, wearing a jacket with a hood, a mask covering the face entirely, dark glasses, and gloves.
Response and Outcome
Following the robbery, the suspect dropped the stolen phone outside the truck, allowing the victim to contact law enforcement promptly.
