On Thursday night, around 10:15 p.m., the truck driver had parked his vehicle near a vacant lot at the intersection of CR-204 and US-1 South for a rest. It was during this stop that the perpetrator seized the opportunity to strike.
Method of Robbery
The suspect, armed with both a firearm and a crowbar, forcibly entered the truck’s cabin where the driver was situated. Employing violence, the assailant struck the victim in the head with the firearm before absconding with cash and the victim’s phone.
Description of Suspect
The suspect was described as wearing a disguise, including a jacket with a hoodie, a full-face mask, dark glasses, and gloves, concealing their identity from the victim.
Prompt Action by Victim
Despite the harrowing ordeal, the victim managed to summon help by utilizing a dropped phone outside the truck to contact law enforcement promptly.
