Virtual Reality Event in New Braunfels
To raise awareness about motorcycle safety, TxDOT will host an event in New Braunfels featuring a virtual reality (VR) exhibit. The event, scheduled to take place at the Buc-ee’s parking lot from 2 to 6 PM, aims to provide attendees with firsthand experience of the challenges faced by motorcyclists on the road.

Through the VR exhibit, participants will gain insight into the difficulty of spotting motorcyclists from a driver’s perspective. According to TxDOT, motorcycle fatalities have been increasing since 2020, with nearly 600 people losing their lives on Texas roadways. In San Antonio alone, 49 individuals lost their lives in motorcycle-related accidents, underscoring the urgency of addressing motorcycle safety concerns.
