Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call at Mountain View Hospital’s parking lot around 3 p.m. regarding a dog locked in a U-Haul truck. Upon gaining entry by breaking a window, officers rescued a mixed-breed dog from the front seat. At the scene, they discovered ten additional animals, including six deceased dogs found in the truck’s rear.
Condition of Rescued Animals
Police rescued six living dogs and three cats, all transferred to the Animal Foundation for evaluation and care. The shelter reported that the animals are undergoing comprehensive assessments to address any injuries incurred during their ordeal.
