The upcoming WM Phoenix Open, also known as ‘The People’s Open,’ brings exciting news for golf enthusiasts. Thanks to the partnership between the tournament and Ford, fans can enjoy free admission on Monday, Feb. 5, and Tuesday, Feb. 6, as part of “Ford Free Days,” sponsored by Arizona Ford Dealers.

This collaboration, now in its eighth year, reflects a commitment to the local community. Tournament Chairman George Thimsen expressed excitement about the continued partnership, emphasizing their dedication to providing fans with the full tournament experience.

Ford Drive One for Arizona Charities: Making a Difference with Every Swing

As part of the renewed partnership, the tournament will host the “Ford Drive One for Arizona Charities” closest-to-the-pin contest on the iconic 16th hole. This unique competition, held during tournament play on Thursday and Friday, offers players the chance to win $10,000 for one of 11 local non-profit organizations. Many of these organizations focus on supporting green initiatives in Arizona communities.

Engaging Events on Ford Free Days

On Monday, PGA TOUR players will engage in practice rounds, setting the stage for the Carlisle Pro-Am. Tuesday’s schedule includes additional practice rounds, the R.S. Hoyt Jr. Family Foundation Dream Day, and the popular San Tan Ford Special Olympics Open.

The R.S. Hoyt Jr. Family Foundation Dream Day offers a diverse program, featuring motivational talks, Q&A sessions with PGA TOUR professionals and athletes, a trick shot show, and a junior golf clinic presented by PING. Notable figures like Larry Fitzgerald, Zac Gallen, and Brandon Pfaadt will make appearances.

The San Tan Ford Special Olympics Open Putting Challenge, held at the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course putting green, presents a friendly competition between teams of Special Olympics Arizona athletes, celebrities, sports stars, and business leaders.

Ford’s On-Course Showcase and Beyond

In addition to Ford Free Days and the charitable initiative, Ford will display their latest gas and electric vehicles near the driving range throughout the tournament. Fans will have the opportunity to explore these vehicles, and special giveaways will add to the excitement.

Beyond the on-course activities, Ford extends its involvement to the Coors Light Bird’s Nest with Country Night on Thursday, Feb. 8. The event will feature Dierks Bentley and special guests Mitchell Tenpenny and Meghan Patrick.

As the Official Vehicle of the WM Phoenix Open, Arizona Ford dealers will provide over 150 courtesy vehicles during tournament week, including the 2023 Ford F-150, Edge, and Expeditions. These vehicles will be available for purchase at Phoenix metro Ford Dealerships after the tournament.
