Yasir Anderson, a student from Olney High School, highlighted the urgency for action, stating, We demand gun reform. Concerns about safety, particularly for the youth, were echoed by many participants, emphasizing the importance of creating a secure environment, especially in schools.

Leaders from youth organizations emphasized the need for adult involvement in supporting the cause. Mecca Robinson of Forget Me Not Children and Youth Services expressed frustration, stating, Our children are dying. They’re dying every day. It’s unacceptable.
John McLeod of Building Businesses for Kids emphasized the significance of youth activism, stating, They do want a safe city. There are kids that want their city to be safe and they’re trying to show it.
